Installing
macOS
- Open the downloaded .dmg and drag MarkdownBird into your Applications folder.
- MarkdownBird isn't notarized by Apple yet, so the first launch is blocked. Either open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click “Open Anyway”, or run this once in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/MarkdownBird.app - Launch MarkdownBird from Applications, Spotlight, or Launchpad.
Windows
- Run the downloaded .exe installer.
- The app is unsigned, so SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC”. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”.
- Finish the installer and launch MarkdownBird from the Start menu.
Linux
- AppImage — make it executable, then run it:
chmod +x MarkdownBird_0.2.0_amd64.AppImage ./MarkdownBird_0.2.0_amd64.AppImage - Or install the .deb on Debian/Ubuntu:
sudo dpkg -i MarkdownBird_0.2.0_amd64.deb
